PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Burna is a calorie challenge app. You join pools, your workouts count toward a calorie goal, and you compete on a leaderboard. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information. Your name and email address, and a unique account ID, from Sign in with Apple, Google or email sign-in.
- Workout data from Apple Health. With your permission, Burna reads workouts (type, start and end time, and active calories) to score the pools you have joined. Burna never writes to Apple Health. We send the server your calorie totals per pool, not your raw Health records. If you dispute a workout, we receive the details you choose to submit about it.
- Pool activity. The pools you join or create, your calorie totals, your rank, and your points balance and history.
- Basic technical data. Standard logs our hosting provider keeps (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist on burna.win, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to tell you when Burna launches and to understand interest in the app. We do not sell it or share it. To be removed, email support@burna.win.
How we use it
- To run the app: sign you in, score pools, show leaderboards and update your points.
- To keep contests fair: review disputed workouts and act on abuse.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who can see what
Other players in a pool can see your display name and your calorie total for that pool. They cannot see your Apple Health records or your email address.
Services we rely on
Burna runs on Google Cloud and Firebase (authentication and database, hosted in the United States). Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are provided by Apple and Google. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from inside the app (Profile, then Delete account). This removes your profile, points and pool participation from our systems. Some pool results may remain in anonymous form so other players' leaderboards stay correct. You can also email us at support@burna.win.
Your choices
- Turn off Apple Health access any time in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Health.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing us.
Children
Burna is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
